Consultants Profile:
Brendan Long, Managing Director is a graduate of the University of Limerick and a member of the Institute of Personnel Development (IPD). Brendan has over 15 years recruitment experience and also has 3 years experience at Personnel Manager level of a large international service company. This recruitment experience has been predominantly focused into the multi-national sector at a senior and mid-management level.
Pat Doab, (BEng, MIEI, GDip B Admin), Senior Consultant is a graduate of Industrial Engineering from the University of Limerick and also has a graduate Diploma in Business Administration. Pat has been brought on board to head up the Engineering Recruitment Division, he has seven plus years practical engineering experience in industrial, process and project engineering roles, both in the US and Ireland with high volume multi-national companies in the Electronics and PC sectors.
Aidan Kelly, is a graduate of European Studies (Politics & Economics) and also has a graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management with CIPD certification from the University of Limerick With over 5 years recruitment experience with Brendan Long Associates, Aidan previously worked in materials purchasing and planning roles with a large US multi-national company. Aidan is responsible for Materials and Supply Chain Recruitment.
Tom Neville, (B.Tech.Ed, Grad Dip Buss), Consultant is a graduate of Technology with a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration. Tom has over 3 years experience in International IT Client Relationship Management, based in the Channel Islands, working with both onshore and offshore multinational corporations. Tom has been brought on board to assist in our Technical Engineering Recruitment Division and also to oversee certain key IT Recruitment Projects.
Marian Leonard manages the administration requirements for Brendan Long Associates. Marian's broad based customer service experience is built up with a major US multi-national organisation in customer support and planning roles.
Recruitment Philosophy:
Our recruitment philosophy is to add value to the recruitment and selection process at both client and candidate level. We are technically strong in the areas in which we recruit and have a number of years' hands on experience at senior management level in the client sectors into which we operate. We also adopt a candidate focused and relationship building approach where we aspire to work extremely closely with our candidate base, not just to understand the technical competencies and skillsets of the individual, but to also have an appreciation of the 'softer' issues relating to a particular candidate. This enables us to quickly identify relevant people and also to introduce a 'total package' when presenting a candidate.
Similarly, our approach to clients is to work on a partnership basis where we not only understand the technical skillsets required for a particular role, but also the cultural, communication and relationship issues involved.
